Fonctions
Role Purpose:
The Infrastructure Contractor will lead Hope for Haiti’s Emergency Response infrastructure projects in Hope for Haiti’s partner communities including developing RFPs, project management, site visits to the field, and monitoring and evaluation. This will include working across program and operation departments, and The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Country Director (CD).
Major Responsibilities:
Coordinate the rebuild of primary and secondary schools by working with external construction firms;
Develop a home rebuild program using cash-for-work and local labor in multiple communities;
Coordinate the demolition and rebuild of HFH’s clinic and other partner clinics in the Sud as needed;
Coordinate the repairs and construction of latrines and sanitation blocks at schools.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
3-5 years of experience working on infrastructure project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context.
Good communicator with strong organizational, time management and analytical skills;
Excellent interpersonal, cultural and diplomatic skills;
Superior writing and editing skills.
Technical expertise in education, infrastructure, health and protection would be advantageous; and
Experience with reconstruction and rehabilitation
Experience in team management and leadership
Experience with community-based projects/activities
Experience working with vulnerable groups; able to demonstrate conflict-sensitivity, compassion, discretion
Skills in monitoring and evaluation would be beneficial.
Experience with multi-sectoral and integrated programming
Experience with early recovery /reconstruction projects is an asset.
Familiarity with the UN Cluster system and response coordination mechanisms.
Strong computer skills: must be competent in the use of Windows MS office, Endless OS, Google Suite, Asana, Bamboo and M&E tools like Salesforce and Taroworks.
Fluency in French or Haitian Creole and English, spoken and written, is required;
