Fonctions

The Senior Country Program Manager is the manager for IMA World Health’s office in Haiti and the
official spokesperson for IMA World Health in the country. Her/his primary responsibility is to oversee
office operations. S/he has overall responsibility for ensuring that the office is efficiently and effectively
managed and liaising with local government. S/he also oversee all phases of project development and
implementation and partner identification. S/he coordinates with peer international NGOs in a manner
that conforms with IMA World Health’s vision, values, and strategy. The Senior Country Program
Manager will represent Corus to the Haitian government authorities, peer organizations and donor
agencies. He/she will lead the annual country budget process and ensure Corus Haiti’s vision is aligned
with the organization wide strategy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office Management (40%)
1. Assume primary responsibility for the safe, efficient, and effective management and administration
of the IMA Word Health Haiti office.
2. Prepare and monitor implementation of the budget and cash flow for the office; ensure that generally accepted accounting principles are adhered to in areas including: (a) authority and approval, (b) pro-per documentation, and (c) physical security.
Program Leadership (20%)
3. Provide project oversight to program and implementing partners.
4. Work with partners to ensure the timely submission of complete, high-quality concept papers, proposals, progress, financial, audit and evaluation reports in accordance with IMA World Health guidelines. Track partners’ submission of reports.
5. Work with partners in distilling lessons learned from project and program implementation. Report to the Senior Regional Director on lessons learned and use that information to improve practice and to inform the next planning cycle. Promote learning among partners in the country.
6. Work in close coordination with HA team to ensure timely response to disasters and complex emergencies.
Representation and Coordination (20%)
1. Strengthen relationships with local relief and development partners and with non-governmental organizations by sharing IMA World Heath’s vision, values, policies, strategies, proposal requirements, and other relevant information.
2. Develop and strengthen in-country relationships with other international NGOs, multilateral institutions, and donor organizations working in the region.
3. Represent IMA World Health in Haiti.
Fundraising and Constituent Education (10%)
1. Work with the BD and the Strategic Partnerships team and the Senior Regional Director on organization-wide fundraising efforts and related documentation.
2. Work with the Marketing and Creative Services to plan and conduct study tours and production of publications and videos.
Security (10%)
1. Keep abreast of, and report on, social, political, environmental, and economic trends in Haiti.
2. Work with IMA World Health Public Policy Unit Department to guide and strengthen IMA World Health ’s advocacy work in the US by sharing timely information from partners and about developments in Haiti.
Conduct any other duties assigned by the Senior Regional Director.
SUPERVISORY:
This role reports to Senior Regional Director.
This role has 2 direct reports.


Qualifications Requises

• Deep commitment to IMA Word Health’s core value and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
• Previous experience in project management and as Country Lead/Management.
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent facilitation skills in conducting meetings, training workshops and conferences.
• Familiarity with key development and economic and social justice issues in Haiti at a practical and policy level.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with local government, non-government organizations, community-based organizations and other grassroots organizations.
• Proficiency in using Word, Excel, e-mail and web browser software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to take instructions from supervisor.
• Haiti national preferred.


Conditions particulières

Bachelor’s degree and minimum 8 years’ work experience in Management, rural development, finance/economics, health, or a related development field. Experience in agricultural livelihoods and agricultural value chain development a plus.


Conditions de travail

This position may require frequent travel within the country and occasional travel to other countries. Travel may be in insecure or dangerous areas, areas with limited infrastructure, and may require exposure to very high or low temperatures and/or high altitudes.
