Fonctions
Position Description: Reporting to the CIO, the Human Resources and Employee Experience (HREE) Manager serves as a member of the Operations team, and has a deep understanding of the organization’s programs and team members. The HREE manager is responsible for a wide range of internal/external communications, policy and procedure documentation, Human Resource management and satisfaction, and administration. You will act as a champion for the company culture and will support the organization’s team members, allowing the organization to develop and grow quickly. In this role you will be responsible for collaborating with Hope for Haiti’s CIO to support the human resources and employee experience related activities of the organization. The HREE Manager will collaborate with all Hope for Haiti team members to help improve organizational culture and leadership development of all team members. This will involve, driving recruitment of the best talent, coaching on team leadership, helping in resolving employee relations issues and managing programs that help develop staff. This position is a key strategic role in the organization helping to grow the business and allowing us to build a unique and strong people-oriented culture at Hope for Haiti.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
In Human Resources:
Collaborates with CIO in creating and implementing an employee experience methodology that applies throughout the employment journey and inspires staff to fully live out our core values of Resilience, Empowerment, Accountability, Collaboration, and Hope.
Serves as an administrator on our Human Resource Information System (HRIS) in areas of in-country personnel file management, PTO and Holiday policy updates, and other areas as necessary.
Ensure in-country employee information in the HRIS system stays up to date and accurate.
Works with the CIO to annually review policies and procedures, translate to French and/or Creole, and share with all employees for their signature at the beginning of each fiscal year.
Manages in-country healthcare benefits including making monthly payments, submitting forms for employee/dependent changes, and follow up on outstanding employee claims.
Provides a complete onboarding experience from recruitment through probationary period, including conducting orientation, overviewing onboarding manual, ensuring managers complete 90 day reviews of new team members, and providing guidelines for managers to train new staff.
Takes initiative to resolve human resource issues, presents follow up action items and organizes priorities for appropriate follow up.
Ensures all operations and Human Resources activities are carried out in accordance with Haitian Labor Code and Hope for Haiti/Fondasyon Kuehner contracts.
Provides the local Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor with all documentation related to new hires, terminated employees, disciplinary letters, and other required information in a timely manner and in accordance with Haitian Labor Law.
Provides insight on compensation analysis based on best practices of other, similar organizations.
Collaborates on the annual strategic plan to develop and edit HR & Culture goals and tactics.
In Employee Experience:
Maintains an ongoing dialogue with CIO, providing recommendations and feedback on issues affecting employee development & morale, operations, risks, assets, etc.
Works with Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator to ensure all staff have access to appropriate technology, software, and antivirus as well as training on how to use Hope for Haiti’s IT tools, programs and software.
Creates and implements surveys to measure staff engagement and gather feedback.
Responsible for employee recognition programs for work anniversaries, birthdays, accomplishments, and other life events.
Monitors internal communication tools such as BambooHR, Workplace, WhatsApp, etc and provides sharable content.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The HREE Manager will be measured on the following KPIs:
A minimum of 70% response rate on employees surveys with actionable areas of feedback
100% of in-country staff able to use HFH’s IT tools and programs
100% of staff receive recognition each fiscal year (birthday, work anniversary, accomplishments, etc)
80% of staff engaged and active on internal communication platforms
Staff personnel files updated and maintained on HRIS system
Shares best practices of employee experience in NGOs either at a conference or in a speaking engagement among other NGOs at least once per fiscal year
Qualifications Requises
Education/Experience:
3-5 years work experience in the Human Resources or related field, preferably with an international development organization.
Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Good communicator with strong organizational, time management and analytical skills;
Excellent interpersonal, cultural and diplomatic skills;
Fluency in French, Haitian Creole and English, spoken and written, is required;
Demonstrated ability to design and implement strategies that employ evidence-based approaches to meet project targets, especially under rigorous timelines;
Experience working and collaborating with diverse sets of stakeholders, such as local NGOs, government officials, donor representatives, and international staff;
Knowledge of leadership approaches and tools for communicating, coaching, and training; and
Strong computer skills: must be competent in the use of Windows MS office, Google Gmail tools and Salesforce.
Ability to traverse distances of over 10 kilometers at varying elevations and to elevate 30 pounds over shoulders.
