IMA World Health (NGO), a subsidiary of Corus International is seeking an engineer Consultant for his “Haiti Emergency response project”.
Fonctions
1. Support effective implementation of WASH project within the timeframe and budget specified.
2. Actively participate and provide strategic guidance concerning the development, planning and implementation of the project.
3. Assist the Emergency Program Manager (EPM) in ensuring achievement of project objectives and adherence to donor requirements.
4. Support ongoing supervision of project activities in beneficiary health facilities and communities.
5. Serve as the project’s main point of contact on engineering-related strategies and activities.
6. Assist with drafting competitive tenders for construction firms to complete health facilities WASH infrastructure/rehabilitation/repairs in targeted health facilities.
7. Review the WASH infrastructure bids and designs submitted by external construction firms to ensure compliance with relevant standards, procedures, and codes.
8. Supervise/monitor ongoing construction in health facilities to ensure completion of projects within agreed upon timeframe, budget, and specifications.
9. Ensure quality and integrity of health facilities WASH infrastructure improvements, including collection of regular progress reports and site visits.
10. Ensure accurate monitoring, evaluation, and costing reports are provided by firms.
11. Alert the EPM to any instances that have the potential for a negative impact on the implementation of construction firm contracts or compliance with their terms.
12. Promote and reinforce relationships with WASH stakeholders, including regular communication with department-level Ministry of Health, DINEPA and other relevant local officials

14. Supervise the construction/repairs progress and provide monthly activity reports of the project and submit it to the EPM.
Qualifications Requises
1. University degree, in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related areas.
2. Must have good English language skills (oral and written).
3. Must have experience on implementing projects in rural regions of the country
4. Minimum of 3 years of experience designing and developing water, sanitation, and hygiene programs and systems, including with interventions and improvement, rehabilitation, and maintenance projects.
5. Experience working with diverse partners, including national government, Ministries/officials, churches, schools, community health workers, and private sector firms.
6. Excellent organizational and communication skills including compelling oral and written communication style.
