The Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) seeks a Project Manager to support the overall operations of a two-year project. This project will work closely with different stakeholders to implement nature-based solutions to restore degraded micro watershed while working to promote behavior change downstream regarding waste management and reduce community vulnerability. He/she will oversee/manage the project and ensure timely implementation of activities in compliance with the Donor regulations, and delivery of anticipated results.
Fonctions
Responsibilities :
The candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
o Provide day to day coordination and high-quality delivery of the project activities;
o Assist in the procurement of all project related goods and services;
o Provide technical leadership to all project-related activities and ensure quality field project operations;
o Manage, in coordination with the Project Director, all stakeholders’ relationships including government officials, municipalities, government entities, partner organizations, etc. ;
o Develop and maintain good working collaboration with project stakeholders, mainly with the municipalities, local authorities and the community -based organizations ;
o Coordinate all project-related trainings in coordination with DPC, the Municipalities and other stakeholders;
o Guide the field project team to fulfill the project’s strategic goals and objectives;
o Assist in building partnerships among national- and community-level actors;
o Assist the Project Director in managing the relationships with the donor;
o Assist in designing stakeholders’ capacity building plan and acquiring and mobilizing training resources ;
o Inform the Project Director of irregularities and/or delays during the implementation that need immediate attention ;
o Maintain a working knowledge of the project budgets and expenditures;
o In coordination with the M&E Manager, assist in monitoring the project activities, collecting data as well as in the baseline and final evaluations;
o Produce and submit a monthly progress report to the Project Director ;
o Serve as Acting Project Director when the Director is unavailable and unsure compliance in reporting to the Donor
Qualifications Requises
Education, Experience and Other Qualifications:
o Hold a degree in Agronomy, Natural Resources Management or a related field ; a master’s degree is a plus.
o Have a minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in project management, preferably with development projects;
o Solid knowledge and experience in Natural Resources Management and Disaster Risk Reduction including a record of successful performance in integrated watershed management;
o Fluency in spoken and written French ; good knowledge of English.
o Excellent written communications skills;
o Experience dealing with diverse stakeholders;
o Good coordination capacity;
o Experience in briefing higher level managers;
o Experience in managing technical and operational teams;
o Demonstrated leadership, adaptability, creative problem-solving, ethical management and integrity;
