10Power is a startup social enterprise providing renewable energy access internationally to communities that lack electricity today. Working with local partners, 10Power provides project development and finance for high-impact commercial and industrial solar projects. Working with Haitian partners, 10Power has installed solar on water purification centers, constructed a solar water desalination plant and provided feasibility studies and project implementation for commercial-scale solar and energy storage projects as well as water purification facilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Site assessments
• Data logger installation
• Code compliance
• Energy efficiency audits (ASHRAE 1,2,3)
• Engineering analysis
• System sizing, design, diagrams
• BOM creation

• Vendor / supplier research
• Lead the procurement process when 10Power is the main procurement agent, or advise and manage the process when being conducted by a third party
• Vet and manage subcontractors
• Provide sound, consistent, and timely technical oversight
o Conduct technical reviews of design work conducted by EPCs
o Initiate external design review from the manufacturer whenever necessary
o Approve design changes as projects develop
o Support with technical sections of grant proposals and other funding communications
• Structure and oversee the work of more junior team members
o Help to interview and provide input on intern hiring
o Provide guidance to technical interns when relevant
• Coordinate and oversee project installation and management
o Forecast and track time to complete project and track installation hours
o Monitor and direct the progress in the construction site ensuring that the construction work is completed in accordance with guidelines
o Manage and ensure that all safety precautions are adhered to by the construction workers
• Oversee O&M

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in English
• Educational & Professional
o A graduate degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or some other related engineering field
o 5+ years field experience implementing NEC or Canadian Electric Code
o 5+ years of cumulative work experience in the renewable energy industry
o Excellent work references
• Technical:
o Advanced understanding of solar energy systems
o Advanced skills with solar software (Helioscope, HOMER)
o Advanced financial knowledge of operations and maintenance for solar system equipment
o Familiarity with ASHRAE
o Knowledge of IEEE, UL, IEC
o Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
o Ability to perform the key responsibilities described above

Desired Qualifications
