The Child Protection & Adoption Officer reports to the Program Manager for supervision. The Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for child protection programs/projects within the Country Program from development planning to delivery of results, preparing, executing, managing and implementing a variety of technical and administrative program tasks to facilitate program development, implementation, program progress monitoring, evaluating and reporting.
Fonctions
1. Counseling Holt program beneficiaries and monitoring their progress: Regular visits and communication with beneficiaries in all Holt programs in Port-au-Prince and other areas of Haiti; monthly visits to partner crèches and other institutions to monitor progress of children and other beneficiaries;
2. Gather information and report about impact and progress of programs to Program Manager: Write pertinent weekly, monthly and quarterly reports in English.
3. Develop partners’ capacity in Child Protection: Provide training on Child Protection issues and Child Safeguarding procedures to Holt partners to ensure compliance to Holt Haiti policies on Child Protection and Child Safeguarding.
4. Contribution to Holt International Adoption in Haiti: Participate actively to the preparation, submission of adoption dossiers and monitoring their progress with various national institutions and actors which participate in the process; Actively contribute to the weekly and monthly reports on adoption dossiers’ status and progress; Support Holt families during their socialization visits and other follow-up visits in Haiti .
Qualifications Requises
A University Degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or other related social science field is required.
