POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Community Faith-based Initiative Manager is a critical team member in helping the organization to achieve the project goals.
We seek a dynamic manager equipped with core competencies, skills and passion to effectively engage with government partners and diverse faith communities, in order to tackle violence against children.
The primary objectives of our interventions related to violence against children will be to prevent the perpetration of sexual violence against children and to facilitate disclosure, reporting, and appropriate system responses to cases of sexual violence against children.
The Program Manager is responsible for developing and sustaining partnerships with key Government partners; congregations, faith leaders, and community groups, to increase involvement, awareness, and engagement of diverse faith communities and community based organizations.
The Program Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the organization policies and advocacy initiatives are being introduced and integrated into our faith and community relationships.
Fonctions
Reports to the Chief of Party & Deputy Chief of Party.
Provide management, guidance, technical oversight and leadership to coordinate the implementation and monitoring of all assigned Faith-Based Community Initiatives as outlined in the detailed implementation plan in line with the organization program quality principles and standards, donor requirements, and good practices.
Lead the development of the program : identify opportunities for learning, research and publications in various health programs, and implementation of MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) policy.
Facilitate the dissemination of promising practices and lessons learned; Ensure integration of innovations and best practices.
Manages regular steering committee meetings; feedback forums, dialogues and meetings with partners, FBOs, community leaders or their representatives.
Cultivates and leverages relationships with faith communities, entities involved in social justice.
Develop and maintain an updated and accurate contact list of faith-based leaders and organizations.
Represent the organization in meetings, steering committee, technical working groups and other events as requested, to reinforce relations with Government partners, USAID partners, other stakeholders and the community.
Conduct regular supervisions, both electronically and on the field; identify challenges and obstacles and propose innovative solutions to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Work closely with IT and Monitoring & Evaluation teams to facilitate consolidation of data and reporting. Develop methodologies and monitoring tools to identify impact of program elements.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all assigned Faith-based Community Initiative activities per established schedules.
Participate in defining, framing and analyzing the needs of the program, and carry out impact and feasibility studies for strategic projects defined under this program.
Analyze the failures of the systems in place, propose improvements and implement recommendations concerning them.
Other assignments given by the technical direction of the project.
Qualifications Requises
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Health, Child protection, gender, religious studies. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of four years of experience managing USAID funded projects and working with diverse faith-based organizations and communities;
Proficient computer skills (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Excellent writing and speaking skills French and Haitian creole; fluency in English a plus.
Experience cultivating, engaging, and managing partnerships with multiple stakeholders to achieve outcomes; strong teamwork skills and track record working collaboratively with colleagues across departments and functions.
Experience facilitating meetings and workshops; ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Enjoyment of working hard and looking for challenges; ability to act and react as necessary, even if limited information is available; a high degree of independence, flexibility, initiative, and self-motivation.
Track record of accomplishing goals, evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment; and creative solution-oriented project management.
In-depth understanding of donor expectations for program results, outcomes, impact, and reporting;
Experience in the development of strategic and tactical plans in collaboration with others stakeholders;
Experience working with religious leaders from different faiths particularly Christian and Voodoo faith leaders and demonstrated leadership skills.
Experience and demonstrated success in setting goals and objectives, managing outcomes, and developing and using data to inform continuous improvement and decision making.
