Job Summary
The role of Program Health Support Specialist will provide subject matter expertise regarding the health of all program beneficiaries (pregnancy through youth). This role will collaborate with other Support Specialists, Program Trainers and Partnership Facilitators to ensure staff and Implementing Church Partners are adequately informed and equipped to ensure preventative and curative care for all beneficiaries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
1. Mature Christian person based on evangelical Christian values; has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is above reproach in integrity and honesty.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Health (Medicine), Community or Public Health
3. Excellent understanding of the national health care system, health and developmental milestones
4. Ability to review/analyse health data, reach conclusions and provide clear decisions/recommendations on health strategies
5. Ability to think programmatically and make appropriate recommendations/decisions on a national health strategy
6. Ability to effectively train non-medical personnel in basic health topics, assist lay leadership and adapt best practices to the local context
7. Ability to network and build partnerships with other ministries & organizations for resource mobilization
8. Ability to represent Compassion on a professional level
9. Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities to develop support with the staff and to interact with churches and partner projects.
10. Ability to speak, read and write English, French, and Creole, including the demonstrated ability to write professionally presented proposals.
Qualifications Requises
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Health (Medicine), Community or Public Health
• Seven years’ Experience working in this or similar position or field.
