Fonctions

PEPFAR’s priorities include engaging communities of faith to improve their understanding of the HIV epidemic, leveraging faith-based institutions to raise community awareness of HIV issues, and bringing critical prevention and treatment interventions to and through communities of faith, especially in support of boys and men, and in preventing and responding to sexual violence against children. CMMB Haiti is supporting twenty-two health institutions (sixteen faith-based and six public institutions) distributed in the following geographical departments: North, Artibonite, West, Nippes and South of Haiti.


Qualifications Requises

CMMB Haiti is seeking a Project Officer with HIV expertise to support CMMB engagement in the fight against HIV/AIDS. In addition to HIV clinical and programmatic experience, the Project Officer should have experience with social and behavior change communication.
Responsibilities:
• Lead engagement with FBOs, HIV and AIDs Association, and other HIV partners on behalf of CMMB
• Provide technical leadership and support to FBOs in the delivery of HIV messages within their communities.
• Collect and collate feedback and lessons learned from the FBO pilots, to inform finalization of HIV communication materials.
• Work with ALESIDA team to finalize an HIV messaging booklet.
• Provide technical support to the development of a training-of-trainers curriculum for religious leaders, focused on HIV treatment and viral load literacy and , effective communication to increase male (men and boys) uptake of HIV testing, treatment initiation and viral load suppression
• Accurately and thoroughly document meetings and other activities, sharing updates through regular meetings with ALESIDA team


Conditions de travail

• MPH strongly preferred
• In-depth understanding of the HIV epidemic in Haiti, including familiarity with:
-current HIV policy issues,
- service delivery guidelines and best practices,
- social and behavior change best practices,
- gender norms and HIV,
- Adolescent and adult issue related to HIV care
• Well-developed analytic, written and oral communication skills in French, English and Creole required.
• Experience working with faith-based organizations preferred.
• Familiarity with PEPFAR and USG priorities, requirements, and reporting preferred.
• Experience interacting successfully with the leadership and management of local organizations (including faith-based groups), staff of international organizations, and representatives at USG or other major donors preferred.
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work cross-culturally with diverse teams highly desirable.
