We are currently seeking an experienced English Instructor to substitute teach for a period of 6 months. The English program operates within HELP’s Academic Department and has the goal of fulfilling our mission by providing HELP scholars with a transformative and well-rounded educational experience. Through our curricular and co-curricular programs, all HELP scholars graduate with a high level of English proficiency, a strong capacity in information technologies, and the skills and desire to work for positive change in Haiti. All English Instructors are expected to have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and a mastery of the English language.
Fonctions
- Teach 6-8 classes weekly, including planning, office hours, and evaluations (approximately 12-20 hours/week)
- Reporting: Provide monthly reports to the English Program Manager and a final report for the regular Instructor.
Qualifications Requises
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education preferred.
- Work experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Essential skills: Detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language: English. French and Creole are an asset.
