Work Summary
The Maintenance and Construction Manager will be responsible for the management of the Maintenance and Construction department. He/ She should be self-motivated, highly disciplined with great managerial skills. This position will report to the Operation/ Logistic Manager and require great attention to details and communication to manage timelines of the Maintenance and Construction teams.


Fonctions

1. Prepare plans and quotes for the Mission.
2. Execute all construction work on buildings, roads and other assignments on behalf of the Mission.
3. Develop terms of reference and sensitive documents for all major construction projects implemented at the Mission.
4. Design the terms of reference for the preparation of construction contracts between the Mission and other construction companies for the preparation of contracts by the administration.
5. Supervise and manage all construction work done by other construction companies / contractors on behalf of the Mission.
6. Ensure the maintenance and repair of buildings and household equipment at all Mission sites.
7. Ensure the cleanliness of the various sites of the Mission
8. Ensure the equipment inventory management of the construction and maintenance section.
9. Manage departmental staff while ensuring its development and good performance.
10. Ensure time management of Mission Construction / Maintenance staff
11. Respond to various maintenance and repair requests from all the Mission departments and provide diligent solutions
12. Prepare and submit a report of all achieved works pending to the Logistic Operations Manager.
13. Maintain all Construction / Maintenance records in a secure and accessible location to the Mission Manager.


Qualifications Requises

• Bachelor of science in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering
• Must have at least 5-7 years of experience in a leadership/senior management position.
• Have strong computer skills in Word, Excel
• Three years of experience using AutoCAD professionally
• Excellent communication in verbal and written French language
• Proficient English language verbal and written skill
• Be flexible and able to work in difficult environments and situations.
