Introduction

Quisqueya University (uniQ) is a private institution of higher education and research with enrolled students, renowned for being one of the top universities in Haiti. In 2015, Université Quisqueya founded InnovEd-UniQ which serves as an institute for innovation in education to facilitate teacher and school leader professional development, conduct research in pedagogical practices in Haiti, and push policy at the government level to promote an engaging, relevant, and reflective approach to education. InnovEd-UniQ is promoting and enhancing quality of education by becoming a driver for systemic national change in teacher professional development and pedagogical approaches to education.


Fonctions

The Model School Network (MSN) is a collaboration among several private and public institutions that are driven to improve the life outcomes of children in the Plateau Central through education. The MSN Assistant Manager provides overall technical and administrative support to help the MSN Coordinator develop and run a smooth operational framework for the MSN. The incumbent assists to plan, develop and manage various functions, procedures and tools of the MSN, performing general liaison and other clerical duties, as needed. The Assistant Manager reports to the MSN Coordinator and works closely with the MSN leadership, staff / consultants and partners for daily operational needs, as necessary.

Development support: Assist to develop, manage and maintain coordination assets and systems

Appropriate filing system, office templates and database (e.g. Projects lists and profiles, subnetworks and partner profiles, contact lists, meeting minutes, reports templates)
Protocol reference materials (such as procedures manual)
MSN collaborative and management platforms Web communication tools including newsletter, website and social media

Liaison support : Help monitor coordination workflow according to established routines, work plans, and responding to ongoing needs to retain teams’ cohesion and plans on schedule

Routinely chase deadlines and delegated tasks to ensure progress and consistent performance with Coordination staff, service partners and overall MSN Coalition with a particular focus on Board and formed Committees as MSN expands
Ensure liaison establishing contacts as appropriate to collect routine information, check on progress, send reminders and circulate updates as requested;
Routinely update collaboration and monitoring tools (calendar, newsletter, projects and administrative report sheets)
Help manage needs for office space of MSN staff/consultants with host organization
Clerical support to MSN Coordinator and MSN Secretary as needed

Assist with general routine communications within capacity, including follow-up on meetings arrangements, callbacks, email preparations, and handing inquiries
Assume note-taking and minutes preparation for review
Assume translation needs in English, French, Creole (written and verbal forms)
Assist in the preparation of written materials (drafting, formatting, review for accuracy and completeness – including work plans, agendas, proposals, and reports)
Help organize MSN meetings & events including communications and logistics involved


Qualifications Requises

Commitment to project’s educational mission;
A minimum of 4 years of work experience in administrative support or management;
A keen eye for detail and a strong proficiency with computers, social media and necessary word processing, spreadsheet and accounting programs;
Good verbal and written communication skills (Fluency in French and Haitian Creole; proficiency in English)
Good organizational skills and acumen;
Flexibility and demonstrated ability to work well on a multi-international team;
A degree in management or a related field preferred
