Introduction
Caris Foundation International is an NGO involved in the care for Orphans and Vulnerable Children. Caris is the recipient of a grant USAID, awarded to carry out the project IMPACT YOUTH, a comprehensive program for OVCs and their households.
Caris Foundation International is looking for a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) who, along with the COP, will be responsible for overall aspects of program implementation and performance, both technical and managerial. The DCOP will have oversight of the technical quality, reporting, operations, logistics, and overall client satisfaction of the project.
Fonctions
• Provide input on strategic direction and vision of the program, in collaboration with COP and key USAID staff, such as AOR, as well as other key stakeholders, including program partners, public sector representatives, and service providers.
• Support the COP in overseeing the development of capacity building efforts and the strengthening of local partners.
• Oversee program design, including the identification of key national policy coordination and reform needs as well as vocational and technical skills development needs and priorities, and identify opportunities for scaling up effective program models.
• Act as a liaison to Haitian government partners as needed.
• Provide technical evaluation of any new aspect of the program.
• Produce effective written reports and oral presentations on the program, including preparing periodic reports, updating on developmental challenges facing the program, and articulating the program’s success in meeting deliverables.
• Represent Caris Foundation International-Haiti and overall program interests at local, national and regional meetings, workshops and conferences as needed.
• Act in place of the Chief of Party when required.
• With the COP, identify and respond to partner needs for organizational and technical capacity building assistance and ensure timely and high quality narrative and financial reporting by partners.
Qualifications Requises
• Advanced degree in International Development, Public Health, Medical Degree or other relevant sectors
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing large projects with multiple implementing partners and relevant health management experience.
• Proven leadership skills and demonstrated experience in recruiting, developing and mentoring, and managing staff.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with activity stakeholders: donors, partners, local government institutions, local communities, and vulnerable groups, etc.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Fluency in French and English required.
