Introduction

Good Neighbors International is a humanitarian non-governmental organization whose is working to implement community development projects by supporting the stable and self-sufficient development of community trough projects focused on education, health, water sanitation and income generation. In addition, Good Neighbors runs advocacy programs at local, national, and international levels to protect the human rights of the socially marginalized. Good Neighbors helps also to develop community network to ensure that residents are engaged in projects and take pride of ownership.
Good Neighbors opened its field office in Haiti on July 2010, in response to the devastated earthquake on January 12 of the same year. Good Neighbors launched emergency relief aid as post-earthquake responses and served as channel between donors and the affected people in the community. Furthermore Good Neighbors involved in rebuild the most affected communities and accomplished successful fruitions through its various projects for example income generation, child sponsorship, construction of shelters, health, water sanitation and school reconstruction.
In order to continue to implement its programs in Haiti, Good Neighbors is currently looking for a Logistic Officer to perform effective procurement and logistical support required for the implementation of GNH projects in Haiti. The Logistic Officer will also ensure that all logistic duties are completed accurately with high quality in a timely manner.


Fonctions

• Create, format and proofread a wide variety of documents including reports, correspondence, memos, statistical charts, forms etc.
• Purchase office supplies and assure communication and good relationship with vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare payment request to contractors and vendors by creating liaison with Finance departments
• Perform data entry tasks and provide informational support to Good Neighbors’ staff
• Maintain office filing system including paper files/file cabinets, shared electronic files.
• Manage office consumables including office supplies, postage system and kitchen supplies.
• Design and implement sustainable procurement and logistics plans
• Undertake field visits to project sites to inventory and monitor supply inputs.
• Deliver the collation of relevant documentation, statistics and other information to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Ability to drive and have basic knowledge about vehicle maintenance.
• All other tasks related


Qualifications Requises

• Bachelor degree preferably in Procurement and/or Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Economics, IT or related field
• Minimum 2 years in logistics roles (NGO preferred)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Skillful at reading, writing and understanding French and English.
• Full computer literate (MS word, Excel, Power point)
• Want to grow professionally and personally
