Introduction
To plan, develop, coordinate, direct, implement and evaluate the activities and service delivery of mental health programs within the Saint Rock Centre de Santé; and to perform related work as required.
Under direction of the Centre de Santé Medical Director and US-based SRHF Mental Health Committee, the Mental Health Program Coordinator is responsible for integrating Mental Health Services with Primary Care/Medical services within the Saint Rock Centre de Santé and mobile clinics/ Community Health Worker catchment areas.

Fonctions
Directs, coordinates, and maximizes the integration and coordination of mental health programs with other SRHF services.
1. The Program Coordinator will develop a working knowledge of SRHF’s existing services and programs.
2. Resources and Referrals: The Program Coordinator will identify and facilitate collaborations and partnerships between SRHF and organizations/agencies providing relevant services and programs.
• The Program Coordinator will develop a Resource Guide that will enable clinic staff to refer patient to local community resources (i.e., social and psychiatric services) within the Carrefour and Port-au-Prince areas.
• The Program Coordinator will produce a document listing the following information about each identified resource:
o Name of Organization and/or Program
o Address
o Name of contact person, job title, phone number, email address
o Description of relevant psychiatric or social services being provided
o Referral criteria
o Payment/ Cost of services
3. Trainings
• Using the Zamni Lasante/Partners in Health training manuals, the program coordinator will conduct trainings for SRHF Centre de Santé medical staff and Community Health Workers. The goal of these trainings is to equip staff with the knowledge necessary to identify and treat patients with mental health/psychiatric needs.
• Community Engagement Meetings will also be conducted in order to educate and empower community leaders to identify and connect individuals with mental health concerns to SRHF Centre de Santé.
• The Program Coordinator will be assigned one training topic per month. The Program Coordinator will schedule and inform Leadership team (i.e., Medical Director and US-based mental health committee) of the dates and times of trainings. After each training, the Program Coordinator will send a brief update and list of attendees to the leadership team.
April, 2018: Introduction to Mental Health and Depression
1. Review “Manuel du Participant: Introduction à la prise en charge psychiatrique de la dépression: Programme de formation psychologues et travailleurs sociaux”
2. Conduct Trainings for Medical/ Clinic Staff (2-4 trainings per topic) using “Manuel du Participant: Introduction à la prise en charge psychiatrique de la dépression Programme de formation pour les médecins”
3. Conduct Training for Community Health Workers (1-2 trainings per topic) using “Liv Pou Fasilitatè: Entwodiksyon Sou Sante Mantal ak Maladi Depresyon Yon pati nan seri fòmasyon pou travayè sante kominotè ZL yo”
4. Conduct Community Engagement Meetings (1-2 per topic) using “Community Education Checklist/ CHÈKLIS AKTIVITE EDIKASYON KOMINOTÈ (AEK)” (document located in Tools and Forms folder)
The following should be tackled AFTER trainings and resource guides are complete…..
4. Mental Health Data Tracking: Will work with Murat to develop a form for tracking Mental Health data that will be provided to us once per month (This should be done once trainings and resource guides are complete)
5. Will continue to work with Kenes, MH committee, Medical Practice committee to expand staff to include psychologist and consulting psychiatrist, Mental Health CHW that will cover all communities we serve. Will likely need to purchase Moto for them to reach each community efficiently.
