Introduction

FINCA Haiti S.A., a subsidiary of FINCA Impact Finance, one of the leaders of microfinance institutions around the world, offering financial services to more than 1,000,000 clients through 20 subsidiaries with property exclusive and operating in Africa, Eurasia, Latin America, the Caribbean and Middle East , is recruiting a Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for managing critical business projects from initiation to close. He/she is responsible for planning and overseeing all critical strategic projects, and for ensuring projects are turned over to operations and strategic and financial benefits are realized. The Project Manager works directly with the Chief Operating Officer (COO). He/she has the responsibility to coordinate project resources and ensure strategic projects successfully deliver financial and operational results to streamline and digitize the business model.


Fonctions

Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Project Planning
o Agreeing with the COO and Project Sponsor a set of objectives for each project; translating the objectives into clear performance targets by which to monitor and measure individual project’s success.
o Writing a formal business case for each project. This will involve careful collaboration with other departments at the organization as well as subject matter experts – both internal to the network and external.
o Identifying project requirements that will satisfy the project’s objectives and deliver a result that meets management’s expectations and the business’ needs.
o Writing a project plan that outlines the project scope, costs, timeline, procurements and contracts needed, quality control assessment, communication management plans and change management processes, risk analysis, and human resource allocation plan.

• Management of Project Execution
o Overseeing the project’s performance and tracking actual progress to what was budgeted and originally planned.
o Routinely reporting project performance to senior leadership, noting any concerns or obstacles that may prohibit completion on time or budget.
o Managing project scope to ensure that there is no scope creep and that the project remains within the bounds originally outlined, or that any changes made are approved by the COO or project approval authority.

• Oversee Turnover of Project to Operations
o Working with learning and development and operations teams to train staff on changed process, new technology, modified business expectations, as appropriate for business to realize project benefits.
o Ensuring project resources are reallocated to other projects or other tasks; communicating to department heads that a project is complete, and time is no longer dedicated to the project.

• Procurement:
o Overseeing procurement for projects, as applicable, ensuring that maximum value is delivered to the bank with regards to operational efficiency, cost-control and integrity.
o Ensuring vendor relations are strong – both for the subsidiary as well as the relationship across the network; seeking areas of opportunities for a project/partnership to expand to other subsidiaries within the FINCA Impact Finance network.
o Managing project vendors and ensuring that the services and products they provide are in line with project agreements and within budgets without any dilution of quality.


Qualifications Requises

• Qualifications:
o Bachelor’s degree, ideally in an analytical financial discipline (e.g. Finance or Accounting) or Management.
o Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is not required but is considered to be a very strong advantage.
• Experience:
o 5+ years’ experience in project management, preferably in a bank or Micro finance sector.
o Experience working in agile project environments.

• Knowledge and Skills:
o In-depth knowledge of project management frameworks and disciplines.
o Experience with project planning and building business cases; experience with IT and IT-related projects.
o Able to manage simultaneously multiple projects involving various stakeholders and to deliver results within deadlines.
o Excellent communication (oral and written) in French, Creole and English and interpersonal skills.
o Proven ability to lead a cross functional team of business stakeholders and IT resources using a mix of traditional project management frameworks and agile/hybrid-based practices.
o Strong skills in analysis, problem solving and resolving disputes.


Conditions particulières

Available to travel in the country side where FINCA Haïti S.A operates and outside the country when needed.
