Introduction

The Procurement and Supply Management project will be the primary vehicle through which USAID will 1) procure and provide health commodities, 2) provide technical assistance to improve partner countries’ management of the supply chain, and 3) collaborate with key international stakeholders to support global health initiatives. The Haiti office will work under two of the project’s task orders (HIV/AIDS and Population and Reproductive Health) to provide commodities and supply chain technical assistance.


Fonctions

The primary responsibility of the surveyors is to collect quantitative data on the field. They will travel to the sites to conduct face to face interviews with the baseline assessment questionnaire and data validation tools. Their tasks also include participate actively in the training and testing of instruments; preparing and editing final instruments and coding of open-ended questions.

Tasks:
1. Visit all selected sites to collect quantitative data.
2. Conduct face to face interviews with site manager using the needs assessment questionnaire.
3. Work with supervisors to ensure consistent data validation in the sites.
4. Participate actively in the training and testing of instruments;
5. Preparing and editing final instruments and coding of open-ended questions

Deliverables:

1. Visit at least 8 sites to conduct DQA and Needs Assessment. Submit collected data for each site via the Magpi system.
2. Conduct at least 8 face to face interviews with site managers using the needs assessment questionnaire. Submit completed questionnaires.
3. Complete at least 8 site performance questionnaires. Submit completed questionnaires.


Qualifications Requises

• Diploma or certificate in Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Public health, Development Studies, or related discipline.
• Previous experience in data collection in the field, particularly for GHSC-PSM Program.
• Knowledge in quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
• Previous experience working in the health sector, particularly with HIV/AIDS.
• Good written and skills verbal communications in French and Haitian Creole.

Hiring Procedures

They will be selected through a competitive process based on experience in data collection shown in their CV and past experience collecting data for the GHSC-PSM program.

Working Conditions/Duration of Assignment
This is a short-term position expected to require 24 days of work from October 1st through October 24th of 2018. The work is expected to be implemented throughout the province departments of Haiti.
