Introduction
JSI Research & Training (JSI) is a public health consulting firm dedicated to providing high quality technical and managerial assistance to public health programs throughout the world. JSI works extensively with national and local governments, NGOs, the private sector, and traditional leaders to expand access to services for vulnerable populations.
John Snow, Inc. (JSI) seeks a dynamic and highly experienced candidate for the Director of Finance and Administration position for the four year USAID-funded Orphans and Vulnerable Children II (OVC II) Activity in Haiti. The project has for goal to support Haitian children living with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS to grow into healthy, educated, young adults free from violence and the ill-effects of HIV.
The Director of Finance and Administration will have the overall responsibility for financial management and administrative issues of the Activity. In addition, the Finance and Administration Director will be responsible for reviewing and managing the sub-grants.
Should JSI be the successful bidder, this will be a full-time position based in Haiti. The F&A Director will report to the Chief of Party.
Fonctions
• Provide financial management and administration of the cooperative agreement, and management support and oversight in the implementation of project activities;
• Provide leadership and guidance in leveraging of funds for matching and cost-share;
• Oversee sub-grant management and financial support to local partners;
• Oversee project procurement and supply chain support for project commodities;
• Ensure accurate and timely financial information is presented to USAID, management, and project staff for decision-making;
• Oversee financial controls, operational systems, and compliance activities for project and with CSOs and partners; provide capacity building support to CSOs and partners; and
• Supervise administrative and financial staff.
Qualifications Requises
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or accounting, or a related field;
• At least eight (8) years of experience in accounting and/or financial management including the management and oversight of donor-funded project budgets and financial reporting;
• At least eight (8) years of experience in organizational and administrative management in an international context;
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting software, including USAID and PEPFAR financial dashboards (DATIM, DevResults, etc.), and related computer applications especially Excel, MS Word; and
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in French and English; working knowledge of Haitian Kreyol is preferred
