Introduction
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Junior Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining bookkeeping records for a single country office. Work is performed under the supervision of the office Finance Manager.
Fonctions
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Update and maintain accounting records, including those which calculate expenditures, receipts, accounts payable and receivable, and profit and loss.
• Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts in journals or computer files from documents, such as sales slips, invoices, receipts, check stubs, and computer printouts.
• Summarizes details in separate ledgers or computer files and transfers data to general ledger.
• Update account receivable and balances accounts.
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to operation of business.
• Assist with processing payroll. Prepare withholding, Social Security, and other tax reports.
• Compute, type, and mail monthly statements to customers.
• Prepare bank deposits.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports in timely manner
• Scan Monthly financial support documents
• Act as a supportive member within a team environment with a focus on customer service and effective communication.
Qualifications Requises
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BSc/BA in accounting, or relevant field
• Prior accounting or related course work or commensurate experience
• Solid background in bookkeeping transaction review and processing
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks
• Accounting systems background and orientation.
• Detail oriented
• Dependability and willingness to take on projects and complete them in a timely manner
• Demonstrated ability to provide high levels on customer service in a fast-moving environment
• Work under pressure
• Great attention to details
• Excellent organizing abilities
• Experience with federal government travel regulations
