We are looking to recruit an IT specialist to ensure the smooth running of our operations, He/She will work under the supervision of our systems manager.

- Ensure daily backup and recovery of all Windows NT/Win 2K system software and data
- Ensure all Habitat Haiti equipment has a unique identifier and a database of assets is updated and all allocation of equipment is documented
- Prepare equipment for new staff and collect equipment from departing staff
- Ensure Habitat Haiti equipment is secured to prevent losses / damage
- Provide relevant IT trainings and orientation for staff
- Provide technical support and assistance for Habitat Haiti / Partner events, meetings and conferences
- Maintain offsite storage of back up media
- Maintain daily rapport with users
- Assist users in solving routine, server-level problems
- Provide IT related support on special projects in the office (e.g. Support for Families Served tool)
- Provide supports to SUN SYSTEMS and E-REQUESTER users (install and configure sun system 4)
- Coordinate service needs with outsourced providers for IT network, internet and LAN
- Ensure office specific electrical safety
- Work with Latin America/Caribbean regional office and US headquarters IT departments to plan hardware and software upgrades to server systems
- Install system and application software and hardware related to server systems
- Develop mechanisms to insure the security and integrity of multi-user computer systems per requirements specified by international headquarters
- Configure and manage outlook and files, deal with archives files.
- Ensure timely vendor support of multi-user computer and phone systems
- Assist with vendor annual renewal including budgeting process
- Consolidate quarterly/annual management reports (Statistical and Financial) for management and grants using Sun Systems report modules, Excel and other needed software
- Assist in providing software email/telephone support to projects/regional offices
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 4+ years of IT experience working with Windows NT environment, technical support and systems administration
- The following skill sets are also desirable: GPS / GIS; SharePoint; website development; database development; Blackbaud eTapestry;
- Fluent in English and French/Haitian Creole; Spanish language skills preferred
- Excellent sense of professionalism and customer service
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Experience working in an international organization, preferably in an NGO
