Introduction

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development NGO founded in Korea in 1991 to
make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. Good Neighbors
works in 192 communities in 38 countries, focusing on inclusive community development.
Good Neighbors Haiti has been working in Haiti since the earthquake in 2010. The head office is
located in Port-au-Prince and working for three project sites.
We are currently seeking qualified, enthusiastic, experienced applicants for a managing director.


Fonctions

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
• Participate in the development of organizational policies and strategies.
• Participate in elaborating the Mid-long term strategic plan and Annual Plan of Action (POA).
• Manage and oversee the development of community development projects and Emergency
relief programs from initiation to completion.
• Identify and resolve project issues and implement improvement plans to ensure the project
stays on schedule and within budget.
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
• Ensures annual conservation program report to related government institutions, GN’s
Annual Program report, and all technical project reports submitted on time to donors and
GN International
• Responsible for fundraising through national and international donor calls.
Finance and Accounting management
• Approval of Payment Orders based on the request with sufficient documents.
• Support of Bank transaction of organization’s accounts
• Approval of suppliers chosen in the bidding process, as established in the Purchasing
Procedure.
• To know, Gift-In-Kind Management and ODA Project/Social Economy Support
• Verify and sign checks received by the Administrative Area.
Administration and HR
• Report on administrative matters to International Office
• Plan and manage necessary personnel procedures for GNH operation
• Improve and monitor management processes and procedures
• Develop and manage volunteering/internship programs
• Manage organization assets and documents
Network Coordination
• Establish meetings to outline strategic alliances with civil society organizations.
• Actively participate in meetings with state authorities


Qualifications réquises

• Excel2lent written and verbal English skills ; French and Creole are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degrees in education, public health, community development, social work,
and/or business administration.
• At least Five years of experience of practical experience in leading and managing integrated
and complex programs, experience in the region or conflict area.
• knowledge on emergency projects and knowledge comprehension of Haitian
law/cultural/context
• Proven experience in managing programs funded by various sources, including
governments and aid agencies, private sector donors with an annual budget of at least
from USD1-2 million.
• Demonstrable ability to work with diverse partners (government, private sector,
academia and donors)
• Demonstrable interest in, and knowledge of, sustainability issues
• Good time management and organizational skills; Able to work under stress to meet tight
deadlines and handling multiple tasks
• Intelligence, honesty, and an independent, non-profit oriented mind

• Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
