Fonctions

Roles and Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the determination of logistics service requirements, desired specifications and delivery schedules, ensuring proper coordination and communication. Identify and assess transportation resources, storage facilities, leasing options, and any other logistics services. Maintain and oversee relationships with port operations, freight forwarders, customs clearing agents and key suppliers. Participate in coordination meetings with the Director of Operations to ensure planning and coordination of supply chain management activities.
- Plan and manage the distribution chain from port of arrival to beneficiary distribution sites or disposal. Proactively mitigate security risks. Oversee and ensure the proper execution of the dispatch plan; work with the Director of Operations and the fleet Manager to verify the dispatch plan’s adherence to the distribution plan.
- Monitor inventory control and oversee materials tracking and record keeping systems throughout the entire supply chain cycle, from time of request until time of delivery. This may include certain tasks to perform in the Oracle Insight system.
- Support the Logistics and Procurement Manager in the implementation of strategic sourcing and procurement planning to identify, assess, select, and contract suppliers that will deliver the maximum value for money to the organization and the project(s) but In close coordination with the Director of Operations, support the development of relationships with key suppliers.
- Work with the Director of Operations to prepare the weekly report for staff.
- Print receipts, making copies, label the receipts and save them to the drive.
- Update the Sogebank check register and the purchase request sheet.
- Work with the Director of Operations to Receive products, label them and send them to the requesters (sites).
- Be able to move around PAP to purchase items from our different preferred vendors when it’s needed.
- Coordinate hotel reservations, volunteers travelling and other logistical activities in Haiti.
- Help when it’s needed the Fleet Manager to maintain the schedule of vehicle services.
- Organize, doing follow-up and classify the shipping documents in their respective folders.
- And other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Accounting and Human Resources
- Prepare, update and maintain employee personnel files
Manage all employee documents (work contract, salary, payroll sheets, etc.)
- Responsible for compiling employee time card data, vacation/holiday info and preparing payroll.
- Write and implement employee contracts
- Make sure all local expenditures are made in accordance with accounting procedures and BHI’s mission


Qualifications réquises

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Accounting or other relevant equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in Operations/logistics/Procurement, with progressive responsibility.
• Knowledge and experience with transportation, stock management customs clearance is preferable.

Required Languages – English, French and creole fluency required.

Conditions de travail

Travel - Must be willing and able to travel up to 20 % domestically.
