Good Neighbors opened its field office for Haiti in July 2010, in response to the earthquake that devastated Haiti, in January of that year. We rapidly launched emergency relief aid after earthquake and served as a channel between donors and earthquake affected community people, furthermore involved in rebuild communities from the effects of the quake. Good Neighbors accomplished successful fruition through various projects; distribution relief items, providing medical service and tents for earthquake victims, construction shelters for displaced people and building public school.
Thus, to carry through our mission, Good neighbors Haiti is actively seeking a financial officer position to cover in the shortest possible time.

Accountable to: Financial Manager (immediate supervisor)
Main task: Supporting the Financial Manager in carrying out his daily tasks
Terms of employment: Permanent
Fonctions
Assisting the FD Manager in the Budget Control and manage the accounting files of the GNI.
Record all financial transactions (cash receipts and withdrawals) in the accounting system used by the GNI.
Coordinate with the other FD staff the archiving of financial records as well as all supporting documents.
Ensure the follow-up of requests for funds of various projects held by the Organization.
Check the reliability of the accounts and ensure the monthly and end-of-year accounting closings with the FD Manager.
Under the directive of the FD Manager, prepare the monthly payroll of the GNI employees.
Calculate and pay the taxes, levies, contributions, and other fiscal requirements of the GNI and the employees as well as the royalties towards ONA and OFATMA.
At the behest of the FD Manager, ensure the financial monitoring of business trips of the various organs of the Organization.
Participate in the preparation of GNI external audits.
Perform any other task related to his position at the request of the FD Manager.
Qualifications réquises
Educational background: Bachelor’s in management, accounting, or finance field.
? 2 to 3 years of experience in administration / finance (preferably with NGOs).
? Good command of English
? Perfect command of French
? Good command of basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook…)
? Good command of accounting software (QuickBooks, in particular)
