Introduction

Reporting to the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer, the Database Specialist will be responsible for the development of an integrated data collection / analysis system to Support M&EL system and measure Habitat for Humanity Haiti’s programmatic output and impact .


Fonctions

- Analyze Data Collection Needs – in partnership with Program Managers, understand project data collection needs and key organizational / programmatic impact indicators.
- Data Collection Tools – develop data collection tools (reporting templates, surveys, registration forms, etc.) to be used by program staff
- Develop Database System – develop an integrated relational database, preferably online, which centralizes program data
- Data Collection and Entry Processes – ensures staff are trained in utilizing the data collection and manages the data entry process, specifically ensuring that the data is accurately inputted and cleaned.
- Data Analysis & Reporting ¬– in partnership with program managers, the Database Specialist analyses the data, Contributes in designing method to organize baseline, collectes data, supervises surveyors and writes report related to programmatic impact, trends, statistical analysis to determining key cause and effects. Reporting will be in the form of statistical data, narrative analysis, and graphical interpretation (info-graphs, charts, tables).
- Qualitative reseach : Support M&E team in organizing qualitative research ( conduct focus group , analyze date, produce report )
- Conduct Monitoring activities -
- Other duties assigned from time to time by manager.


Qualifications réquises

- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
- 3-5 years of experience
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Fluency in English, French and Creole.
The profile of the candidate will have experience in managing databases which measure programmatic outputs and social impact indicators. Will have the technical skills to develop data collection tools, relational databases, and statistical analysis of data. The candidate will also demonstrate their ability to work closely with Program Managers, community mobilizers and data entry staff to ensure integrated provision of services. Preferably, the candidate will also come with GIS; PDA, KOBO TOOL BOX, and online database experience


Conditions de travail

Office setting in post-disaster environment that may involve difficult and stressful conditions (unstable conditions, irregular travel conditions and transportation means, etc). The position involves up to 30% travel.
